Search giant Google has announced that it is to remove adverts from the right hand side of desktop search results pages. News that the company was limiting the number of adverts to only the top and bottom of search results pages has shocked many. However, although adverts are being removed, an additional advert will be shown at the top of the page for advertising that generates a lot of revenue (such as hotel advertising).
